Definition of Budget Day

This is the annual UK financial statement delivered by the Chancellor of the Exchequer to the House of Commons and the public.  The event is usually held in March.

The Chancellor presents plans for government spending and revenue generation, for example, increasing or reducing taxes.  The speech includes economic updates, the government’s financial strategy, review on taxation levels and economic forecasts. [1]
