Definition of cyber crime

Cyber crime involves activities like raiding bank accounts and stealing information from companies. [1]

Example
Intel employee Biswamohan Pani took one and a half weeks’ paid leave after announcing his resignation. But instead of relaxing, he joined a competitor and, without either company’s knowledge, downloaded some of Intel’s most confidential documents while he could still log into its computer systems.

In 2012 a US federal court jailed him for stealing more than $200m worth of trade secrets, which were recovered from his apartment after former colleagues got wind of his double-dealings. [2]
