Definition of total tax

Total tax is a measure of all taxes borne and collected by a company.

Whilst corporate income tax is the tax that is most often visible in the public disclosures that a company is required to make, it is however one of a large number of taxes that a company has to either pay to, or collect on behalf of, a tax authority (e.g. HMRC). [1]
